Hah we should come up with an elaborate plan, like lure couple of people to a secluded location with promises of supersleepers and then just steal their picks. -Whatcha mean not my pick...here is a note from Linda, all with heart dotted i's... No one would fall for that. I dot my i's with daisies.

Well, boyfriends, I thought we would be farther along than this by now but such is life. I am leaving on vacation tomorrow. I will not be drearily staring at a computer throughout the day so my picks may be slow. I'll do my best though. And I'll be thinking of all of you while sitting in the sun, drinking overpriced beer and watching real baseball in Florida.

Yeah the draft has really bogged down the last week or so. I realize that we aren't selecting Stantons or Kershaws at this point. And we all do have 24 hours per pick. Obviously if we all took 24 hours (or even 8) for each pick, we'd never finish.
So....what can be done? There are several ways that we can each help one another keep the draft rolling and for everyone to retain their sanity. These are all things we've done in the past in this draft.
First off, if you see your pick is coming up and you know you are going to be away for a while, at minimum, please just either shoot someone an email or leave a brief message here. No need to explain, just give a heads up. To follow on that, a really great way to help the draft is to send someone else who doesn't pick near you a shortlist of targets for your next pick if you know you aren't going to be around for some time.
We used to do these things all the time in this draft but we've somehow gotten away from it. Just be aware that these tools are at your disposal.
Having said all of that, it's been an extremely interesting draft, with the usual amount of sniping. Myself, I've had several picks snatched a few picks before mine. As disappointing as that is...I always see it as a healthy sign that the league is competitive.
So, I'll climb back down off the soapbox and ask that we redouble our efforts to keep the draft rolling. \
Can't it just be April already??
Cheers all.

If things get tight, maybe we can target a 1 hour session over the next couple weeks to have everyone on board at the same time - might be an easy way to get through 4-5 rounds.
I'm headed to spring training like Linda - will be at cactus league games the 20th-23rd. Perhaps she and can share scouting reports across the timezones on split-squad outfielders and big-arm relievers with control problems that will never make it past AA ball. Just to add to the general confuseration and misinformation on the chat board.
SOPF Spring Tips East: Panda looks svelte! SOPF Spring Tips West: I think Francisco Gutierrez is finally going to put it together and stay healthy this year!

Now taking offers to fill your lonely NA slot with a delicious top prospect, delighting you for years to come. Joey Gallo (the mighty rooster), Jose Berrios (the best breakfast,) or Julio Urias (Middle name: Ugotim) available for a delicious closer. Or an OF upgrade.

Eno Sarris is all over Desclafani this year. Ever since he called the Kluber and Keuchel breakouts i pay a lot of attention to his pitcher rankings.
