Does anyone know if when you get invited to a yahoo league if you can use that invitation to join with a different email/yahoo id?
I sent an invitation to my league, 3 actually, to the original owner of the team and never got a reply. Then, after a month I finally invited someone else tonight and promptly someone accepted an invitation and grabbed the team. BUT. I then got an email from the new guy I invited saying he tried to join but it says the league is full. So I go and look and the guy that took over the team's email is neither the new guy or the old guy.
Could the old owner have taken the invitation I sent to one Yahoo Id/Email and used it with another (brand new Yahoo Account that was just created this year)?

No idea, but it sounds fishy.

It looks like only the original email to re-invite existing owners is specific to a Yahoo Id/Email. It's hard to tell, but it seems that any invitation you send beyond that is just a link to take over a team, and it could be forwarded to anyone once you send the invitation out to an email address.
The timing is sooo strange on this though, and I can't get the guy who took over the team to reply to my questions yet. To not reply to an invitation for a month, and then accept the invite in the 5 minute window between my finally inviting someone else and them trying to accept that invite? Hard to believe even if it was the same Yahoo Id.
