Hey guys, use this thread for all chat regarding the draft.
Good pick, you stole him from me, looking to trade, etc, etc. posts should go here.
Now, I think that McCutchen pick was high and he would probably have been available at felix's pick.
Also, anyone want to trade higher in the 1st and I trade down AND into the 2nd as well?

You have to consider that there are now a decent number of people from the Razzball forums in this league now...and Razzball is all over McCutch this year.

Had to have him, just couldn't imagine he would have made it to me with Trout, Verly as keepers. Was thinking Votto and Pujols and Cano would all be OLD in year 3 (ok, now I hope everybody agrees and they keep falling...)

One or two of the top SP will go, knew Pujols would go, Votto will go and, odds are, Cano will go as well. Honestly, I think McCutchen will have a hard time replicating season from last year and you may regret trading up for him. I know I wouldn't have taken him at any spot in the 1st rd, so you know of at least two spots he wasn't going at

I'd most likely get him if it was "regular" pickings...not a fan of many of the late round picks

There's tons of value in many of those late rounds picks.
Maybe not the most talented, but the return on the late investment will be well worth it (plus, it opened up these first couple of rounds to a ton of studs we want/need).

No guts, no glory. And in any case, no money involved, so might was well reach. Unnaturally high BABIP last year is his downside, and yes, he might not produce quite at #2 player. And I know Anthony would love to see Kemp outperform him! But I think he has the best chance at putting up 3 top 10's in a row of anyone else on the board given youth/health (knock knock). And at this point I hope you're right about several pitchers going early.

Whorfin takes Braun as keeper, next up is Chimpzee, correct?

Anthony, I'll do that pick swap if you still want it. Yours 1st and 2nd round (6 & 6 right) for my 1st and 2nd round (10 & 3) ?

Only problem is, I don't have a 2nd (unless you want Kemp).

Well, I took a massive risk, but one I think WILL pay off.
Bautista was on pace for 48 home runs last season, so with a fully healthy season from him this year, 45+ is not out of the question.
Plus, with Reyes added to the top end of that line up (and melky) the RBI opportunities should be plenty.

Bautista is also a BB machine.

I know I've been messing up the boards by commenting in the wrong areas, but is this where we post about reaching for 33 year old career .252 hitters with tender wrists? I see your logic to some degree. If you're right about a bounceback from both Kemp and Jose, you're in awesome shape. If not, you'll be left playing with your RA Dickey.
